Information we use
We process account details, authentication information, quotes, project details, optional context, analysis and reports. Quotes may contain addresses and third-party details; remove unnecessary sensitive information.
We also process payment references and payment/refund status, account and report-ready email records, support correspondence and technical/security records. [Confirm logs, cookies and analytics.]
Purposes and lawful bases
We use this information to provide secure accounts, prepare and deliver your Quote Check, confirm payment, handle refunds, send service messages, respond to enquiries, protect the service and meet legal obligations.

AI-assisted processing and human review
AI reads quote content/context via Lovable’s AI service and its model provider to identify prices, scope, stages and issues. A human checks the draft before publication. AI can make mistakes. We do not make solely automated decisions with legal or similarly significant effects about you.

Recipients
Reviewers access material needed for review. Lovable Cloud provides accounts/data/private storage; Lovable-managed email sends service messages; AI providers assist analysis. Stripe receives card information directly; we store references/status, not full card details. Stripe has its own privacy notice.
We may disclose information for legal obligations/claims. Quotes/reports are not public. We do not contact your builder. [Verify providers and contractual roles.]
Storage, security and transfers
Saved quotes/reports are restricted to their owning account and authorised staff carrying out service duties. We use private storage and access controls, but no online service guarantees absolute security.
Before sign-in, answers/files remain in this device’s browser with a seven-day expiry and an email lock during account setup. Other devices or cleared browser storage may not recover them. After sign-in, the quote is saved to your account before payment.

Retention and deletion
- Unfinished drafts in your browser: deleted automatically after 7 days. - Saved but unpaid Quote Checks and their uploaded files: deleted automatically after 90 days without activity, provided no payment was made. - Completed Quote Checks (your uploaded quote, analysis and report): deleted 12 months after the report is published. We email you about 30 days beforehand so you can download your PDF. - Payment, VAT, refund and cancellation-consent records: kept for 6 years for accounting and legal purposes, without your name or email address, then deleted automatically. - Your account: kept until you delete it. Deleting your account removes your uploaded quotes, reports and project information straight away; only the minimal accounting records above are kept.
We may keep specific information for longer where the law requires it or where it is needed for a legal claim or dispute, and only for as long as necessary.

Request deletion at hello@byldalong.com or delete your account from your Account page. Refunds do not themselves delete documents or history; a full refund may remove report access unless an exception is authorised.
Your rights
You may have rights to access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, subject to conditions. Consent can be withdrawn without affecting earlier lawful processing.
Email hello@byldalong.com. We may verify your identity and normally respond within one month, subject to lawful extensions/exceptions. You can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk without contacting us first, although we welcome the chance to address concerns.
