Provider and order

The service
We review one uploaded builder quote and your supplied context, considering price, VAT, payment stages, inclusions, exclusions, unclear scope, allowances, provisional sums, terms worth clarifying and questions for your builder.
AI assists with analysis. A human reviewer checks the draft before publication. You receive a report in your account, a downloadable PDF and a report-ready email. Signing in is required to access the report. [Confirm delivery estimate and working hours; no guaranteed deadline is proposed.]
Limitations
This is a document review, not a structural survey, site visit, professional inspection, legal, insurance or surveying advice. It does not guarantee builder competence, work quality or safety, regulatory compliance or final cost.
Incomplete/inaccurate material limits review; issues may remain unidentified. Seek qualified advice when needed. We do not contact/instruct your builder; your building contract remains yours. Statutory rights remain unchanged.
Price and payment
£19 including 20% VAT (£15.83 excluding VAT; £3.17 VAT), one-off, no subscription. JGRANT CONTENT LTD is VAT registered. Stripe processes checkout after your quote is saved to your account. Analysis starts only after confirmed payment and any applicable early-start request.
During this soft launch, checkout remains in Stripe test mode and does not take a real payment. The intended service price remains £19.
Cancellation and refunds
Eligible online consumer service contracts normally carry a 14-day cancellation period from contract formation. The £19 price does not remove this right for an online distance contract. To cancel, email hello@byldalong.com with your reference; a clear statement is sufficient.
If you expressly request work during that period and cancel before completion, applicable law may allow a proportionate charge for work supplied. Cancellation rights end after full performance only if the required prior express request/consent and acknowledgement were obtained. Payment alone is not enough.
If we cannot deliver your Quote Check, we will provide a full refund. If the service is materially defective, we will correct it or provide a refund/price reduction as required by your statutory rights. We honour applicable 14-day cancellation rights. Any charge for cancellation after an expressly requested start but before completion will be proportionate and permitted by UK consumer law, not an automatic flat deduction.

Before payment, you must separately request early performance and acknowledge loss of cancellation rights after full performance. If you do not consent, you can save your quote and return later without paying. Full performance includes human review and delivery of the completed report, not merely automated analysis.
Statutory rights remain unchanged: services must be supplied with reasonable care and skill; applicable remedies include repeat performance or price reduction. Any statutory cancellation refund will be made within the legally required time and normally through the original payment method.
A full refund normally removes report access unless an authorised goodwill exception retains it. Refunds do not themselves delete the account, document or review history; see the Privacy Policy. This does not limit statutory rights.
Your responsibilities
Provide a readable quote, accurate context and material you are entitled to share. Remove unnecessary sensitive details. Protect credentials and report unauthorised access. Confirm unresolved points with your builder/adviser. Do not misuse the service or access others’ information.
Problems and liability
Email hello@byldalong.com with the project reference and concern. We will consider problems in light of statutory rights. [Confirm complaint process; no invented response deadline or dispute-resolution membership.]
Nothing excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including death/personal injury from negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. No liability cap is proposed.
Law and changes

The terms agreed for an order apply to that order. Changes will not retrospectively remove statutory rights or alter existing orders without a lawful basis.
